Bombardier LearJet 550k Indy Race at Texas Motor Speedway
For the first time since the early 1980s I attended a big-time automobile race. Tonja and I went to the speedway to enjoy the IRL stop in Fort Worth. It’s just up the road from home and it was more fun than I thought it would be. As big as the place is, to me it seemed a little small. I grew up watching races at Ontario Motor Speedway and Riverside International Raceway, two very big tracks lost to racing history. In spite of the place, TMS that is, smelling like dirty trash can or stale beer, or something, we can’t wait until November to try on a NASCAR race.
